Reach into the cabinet and backbox and ensure that the interconnecting cables are not kinked or
pirdled. Be careful to avoid damagingwires at any stage of the asserrt>lyprocess.

Raise the hinged backbox upright and latch

into posnion. Unlock the backbox, and remove the
backglass. Remove the shipping screws holding the Insert Panel. Unlatch and open the Insert
Panel. Carefully 6ftup the Speaker Panel and lay
it
down on the playfield glass. (Be careful not to
damage the Dot Matrix Display/Driver.) This allows access to the bo~ holes used for securing the
backbox upright. To secure the backbox, install the washer-head mounting bolts through the
bottom holes of the backbox into the threaded fasteners in the cabinet. Close and latch the Insert
Panel. Replace the Speaker Panel. Reinstall the bad<glass,and lad<the backbox.

the backbox mounting hardware properly can cause personal injury.
NEVER TRANSPORT
a pinball game with the hinged backbox erect. Always lower the backbox
forward onto the playfieldcabinet on a layer of protectivematerial to prevent marring or damage and
possible personal iniJry.

Extend each leg leveler
slightfy
below the leg bottom, so that all four foot pads are extended about
the same distance. Remove the cabinet from its
SUWOrt
and place it on the floor.

Unlock and open the coin door. Move the molding latch lever toward the left side of the game. Uft
the front molding off the playfield
cover
glass return the latch lever toward the right, and close the
coin door. Carefully slide the glass downward, until it clears the grooves of the left and right side
moldings. Lift the glass up and
ClNay
from the game, storing it carefullyto avoid breakage.
8.
Place a level or an inclinometer on the playfield surface. Adjust the leg levelers for proper playfield
level (side-to-side). NOTE: This measurement must be made ON the playfield, not the cabinet nor
the playfield
cover
glass. Tighten the nut on each leg leveler shaft to maintain this setting.
9.
Adjust the leg levelers to the proper playfield pijch (back-to-front). The recommended pitch level is
6-1/2
degrees.

!
Playfield pitch angle can affect the operation of the plumb bob tilt. The plumb bob weight is among
the parts in the cash box; the operator should install the weight and adjust this tilt mechanism for
proper operation, after completion of the desired playfield pitch angle setting. The unit is factory
installed for
a
6-1/2
degree angle. If an adjustment is necessary, loosen the screw at the bottom of
the unit. Move the pointer, one grove at
a
time to the left or the right, depending on the degree
desired. Hold the pointer in place and tighten screw.
10.
Move the game into the desired location; recheck the level and pitch angle of the playfield.

Be sure the
required number
of balls are installed. This game uses five balls.
12.
Install full playfield mylar, if desired.
NOTE:
The playfield is coated with a special hardcoat surface
and does not require a protective mylar. However, mylars can be purchased through your local
Williams Distributor. Specify part number 03-9118-1 for full playfield mylar.
