Glad to hear we're finally getting our repair kits.  So what's being done about the damage to our playfields?

My kit arrived today.

They sent two coil plungers that are longer than the stock plungers. Same fit, same look, same everything -- just about 0.5" longer.

Installation was a breeze and the kicker doesn't come anywhere near the playfield. I'm very happy.

I wonder if a longer plunger results in a weaker slingshot? Maybe... but I'm not concerned about that part. I'm just happy the problem has been solved and it was such a simple fix.

Just installed my kit as well . Old plunger measuredv2" even , new plunger measures 2 1/4 " .

It results in a nice clear 1/8 " to 3/16" clearance on the kicker playfield hole . I fortunately did not have visible damage but did the upgrade to be sure .

Same here.  Opened a ticket on 06/02/15.  No updates and haven't received replacement parts (or notification they've been shipped).

For what it's worth, Lloyd has been great and very quick to respond, but I keep getting the same answer - "Waiting on CGC".

When will I receive my repair kit?  When/How will my playfield be repaired?

Got the longer plunger kit and installed them yesterday and took like 30 minutes for both. Thanks Lloyd for the help.

Ok... According to another post Jamierscherr received an MMRLE on or around August 4th, which is well after the slingshot damage issue was resolved...

Rick - please advise if the games being shipped have been corrected...
Thx

Rick that's great that it's an easy fix going forward, but what about the rest of us that already have damaged playfields?

A populated playfeild is the only thing that is going to make this right. I have faith the right thing will be done.

Ha, you're funny, now in reality they'll do what WMS would have done, service bulletin that says move the part back. Games wear when played.

Well then it looks like Stern is better than Williams at customer service( or because its an "LE")... A buddy had a smaller defect on his Star Trek LE, Stern sent him out a populated playfeild to swap.. I couldn't believe it,  just amazing customer service.   Have to give it to Stern on that one.  Its gonna be really interested to see what CGC does...Especially with all the new remakes being planned for the future.  Sucks that the shorter slingshots will not play exactly like the original MM, I wonder if it will decrease the value.
