Pinball Software Version Information
- To see what version your game is
running, set your test switch to AUTO/UP and press ADVANCE while in Game
Over mode. You will see "1GGG" in the player 1 display, where GGG is the
game number. The player 2 display will show the number of the installed game
revision.
The ROM file for each game includes only the IC14 Game ROM for each machine.
These take the place of the smaller PROM1/2/3 chips that may be installed
in your game, with the exception of Firepower, which needs all four chips.
If you install a game ROM for any game except Firepower, you may remove
the PROMs in IC21, IC22, and IC26.
Flipper and Sound/Speech ROMs
- There are three versions of Flipper ROMs used in early Williams games, White, Yellow,
and Green. These ROMs are common between all games of the same Flipper ROM
color. You must use the Flipper ROM color specified for your particular game,
otherwise the Game ROM will not function properly.
All Sound and Speech ROMs for these games are included with the game ROM file.
Not all games use all chips, and the chip size varies per game.
